Kevin Durant left the Oklahoma City Thunder this summer and broke the hearts of many. Fans of the Thunder all over the midwestern state not only voiced their displeasure with his decision but they also showed it. White, blue and even orange jerseys with ‘Durant 35’ were burned to a crisp and even the ‘shirseys’ caught some fire as their beloved superstar left to join a superteam. What a corny thing to waste your money on.
Durant’s decision has been less than popular among anyone with an opinion. From current and past NBA stars, coaches and executives, media personalities and even some rappers made their thoughts on KD’s move known. But as KD took a hefty amount of criticism, the former MVP stressed that he had no hard feelings for anyone back in Oklahoma.
He’s gushed about Russell Westbrook and the Thunder organization since his decision and said he still loves Oklahoma. But for KD his love goes beyond just words, he’s making some actions happen. KD just donated $57,000 to Oklahoma’s only school for homeless kids.
