Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was upgraded to a flagrant-2 for his kick to the groin of Steven Adams, but did not receive a suspension, which has been the cause of much controversy.
Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant has offered his two cents. From ESPN’s Royce Young:
Kevin Durant: "They're not going to suspend Draymond Green. He's one of the premier players in the league." pic.twitter.com/lSAIIwyuA2

“I didn’t even think it was something we should be talking about. They’re not going to suspend Draymond Green. He’s one of the premier players in the league, on arguably one of the best teams in the history of the game. They’re not going to suspend him. I didn’t even really think about it. I knew the league was going to let him play or fine him or upgrade him to a Flagrant 2. We all knew that was going to happen. The league is about business.”
Durant definitely has a point. If Green was a lesser player, like say, Dahntay Jones(*cough*), there’s a much greater chance that he would have been suspended. But the fans(and league) want to see these two powerhouse teams go head-to-head at full strength, and the Warriors wouldn’t be at full strength without Draymond Green.
