The Toronto Raptors hosted the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night. The evening was dedicated to the team’s global ambassador, rap superstar Drake. It was once again ‘Drake Night’ and for the third year in a row, the Raptors home court was all about Drake. Custom jerseys, shirts for the fans and even some special events involving Drizzy.
But as the game went on, Drake started to egg on the situation between two of the top teams in the NBA. He’s known to do some extra things while sitting courtside in Toronto, so this isn’t new. He was caught staring down Kevin after an early three went down from DeMarre Carroll.
Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant led the Warriors to a road victory versus the Toronto Raptors. Curry had 35 points and 7 assists while Durant had 30 points, 6 assists, and 9 rebounds.
The Warriors came out victorious over the Raps but the final touches on the Warriors rampage in Toronto were still coming.
KD was talking to Israel Gutierrez after the Warriors win over the Raptors. Midway through the postgame interview, Drake bumped into Durant and while it sounds like Drake did apologize, KD wasn’t hearing it.
Drake and Durant have a long relationship so maybe this is a joke. Then again, Durant often doesn’t shy away from speaking about how he feels. So it could also mean this triggered a savage side of him that might not be so fond of Drizzy anymore.
Either way, everyone knows that at the end of the day, Drake will most likely be courtside during the NBA Finals with a Kevin Durant Warriors jersey on cheering for the Dubs as they compete for their second title in three seasons.
And to top it all off, Draymond Green also managed to send a shot Drake’s way after the game. And Andre Iguodala says he’s not hanging out with Drake, he’s just going to read.
