Oklahoma City Thunder MVP forward Kevin Durant has received some bad news from his doctors about his aggravated foot injury. Thunder GM Sam Presti held a special press conference to talk about the issues with Durant’s foot discomfort and what he may or may not be going through. The other day it was reported that KD missed practice and his return was thrown off course.
Now, according to Presti, we could possibly be without KD for a while.

“I think the most important thing is to say that he’s not going to be playing right now,” Presti told reporters at the team’s practice facility. “When he’s healthy to play, and when he’s able to return without that soreness, he’ll be back on the floor. If that takes the rest of the regular season, if that takes the rest of the playoffs, that’s what it’s going to take. As I said before, the health and wellness of our players is the most important thing.”
“Unless he’s able to be back on the floor without soreness, he won’t be back on the floor.”
The most alarming thing here is that Presti is taking him out of all
The Thunder’s injury issues this season are not a secret. They’ve been through it all and they don’t seem to be catching a break anytime soon. If Durant doesn’t return to the Thunder before the season is over to get some games in, you can almost kiss the Thunder’s playoff chances goodbye. Even if they did make it, with a banged up Durant and Serge Ibaka, a first round matchup with the Golden State Warriors wouldn’t be pretty.
