Kevin Durant’s decision to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder and join the Golden State Warriors last summer still resonates in the NBA community to this day. Now up 3-0, the Warriors are in prime position to reach the NBA Finals for a third consecutive season. The bigger story in this, Durant’s decision, although many will never give him the credit he deserves, has paid off tremendously.
Despite how some people may feel, Durant has expressed his pleasure with his decision and has shown no signs of regret with his huge decision.
Following from Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated.
“I made the 100 percent correct decision, win or lose,” Durant told The Undefeated after the Warriors’ practice at AT&T Center in San Antonio on Sunday. “I feel like this is the place I was supposed to be. I appreciate everything I’ve done before this. But I’m here now, and I feel like it’s a great spot for me to be.
“This is where I am supposed to be at this point of my life. I’m taking it on and conquering every part of it. I’m enjoying every single step.”
Even after all of the backlash, Durant is happy with his decision and looks to not be phased at all with any criticism that has come his way since joining the Warriors.
