The Baltimore Ravens are signing former Las Vegas Raiders running back Kenyan Darke for depth at the position. Las Vegas cut the running back earlier this preseason and he was expected to get signed fairly quickly after he was released. Drake hasn’t quite been the same the past few years, but still provides talented and experienced depth for the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens are looking to bounce back from last year’s injury-plagued season and they are hoping Drake can contribute to that. Stacking talent around quarterback Lamar Jackson is vital this season.
Sources: The #Ravens are hosting former #Raiders RB Kenyan Drake on a visit today and if all goes well they likely will sign him. A potential perfect opportunity for Drake, who should get immediate touches. pic.twitter.com/zBPl49pNDS

Last season as a member of the Las Vegas Raiders, Kenyan Drake rushed the ball 63 times for 254 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught the ball 30 times for 291 yards and one touchdown. While Drake may not be a starting running back in the NFL anymore, he does provide experienced depth and could be a good compliment to Ravens’ starting running back J.K. Dobbins.
I’m told that free agent RB Kenyan Drake will sign with the #Ravens today pending the results of his physical, per league source. Drake is already in Baltimore.

The Baltimore Ravens believe their roster is good enough to compete for the AFC North title and perhaps even a Super Bowl. Experienced depth is important for teams that have those types of goals. Kenyan Drake also provides some cushion and the ability to carry some of the load for J.K. Dobbins who is coming off an ACL injury from last season.
