The Washington Wizards had quite a scare a few nights ago when John Wall was nearly seriously injured. During an attempt at a layup in transition, the point guard was undercut by a sprinting Kent Bazemore, as the latter attempted to stop the break.

Wall obviously did not take kindly to the dangerous play. The Wizards’ star was hurt two years ago in the playoffs on a similar play, a significant factor in the team’s inability to reach the Eastern Conference Finals.
Bazemore, however, took to Twitter to apologize for his mistake:
This game has done wayyyy too much for me to play it that way. I've been undercut and it's not a fun feeling. My apologies bro @JohnWall

Bazemore doesn’t have a history of dirty play; however, he is a hyper-active player and in this case, that level of activity led to a dangerous situation.
Wall hasn’t responded to the apology publicly, but presumably the two players have no hard feelings after the situation. It didn’t appear like Kent Bazemore meant any ill will and he made sure to say as much later. Fortunately, John Wall was not hurt seriously and both parties can move on.
