I have liked Emmanuel Mudiay ever since he was put up on the the various Draft Boards. I watched all the tape and man was I impressed. I even went out to say that I preferred him over D’Angelo Russell.
In hindsight I underrated D’Angelo a little, now I consider them both great talents that’ll both have a chance for Rookie of the Year.
Kenneth Faried, the lone star of Denver has relied a lot on Ty Lawson, and now that Lawson is gone, he’s excited to see what Mudiay can do.
“I have high expectations for him because he’s basically going to be our starting point guard and the Nuggets have high expectations,” said Faried, who signed a 4-year, $50 million rookie extension with Denver in October 2014.
“I just want to make sure he’s coached – that’s the only thing I want to make sure. I’m pretty sure he is and everybody says he is so I’m excited to see what happens.”
I think he should have high expectations for Mudiay. He’s had that stint in China, he looks very capable. Why not have high expectations?
