Power has added another rapper to its already illustrious cast. Compton rapper and global icon Kendrick Lamar will be appearing on next weeks episode of Power to help 50 Cent with a predicament he gets into.
50 Cent previewed the sneak peak of Lamar on his Instagram a couple of days ago and today, the network officially announced it.
50 Cent, who is also the producer of the hit show on the Starz Network, plays Kenan in the show and unless you sleep under a rock, you should be watching this show. It’s must-watch TV right now and its 5th season is scoring series-high ratings with a 40% increase in viewership. Kendrick Lamar will DEFINITELY add to that total when he appears this Sunday on the 5th Episode of the 5th season titled ‘Happy Birthday’.
There really is no telling is Lamar can act or not, but a lot of rappers have made the transition. There are TONS of rappers turned actors in Hollywood from 50 Cent to LL Cool J to Ice T to the Fresh Prince himself Will Smith so it wouldn’t be surprising to see Kendrick do well on the big screen. We’re excited for what is to come next week.
