As fans and music lovers alike prepare for his latest album, DAMN to drop, the Compton rapper recently met with Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan. Afterward, the Nation of Islam leader posted how pleased he was with the meeting with Lamar.
Lamar, who told The New York Times Magazine that this latest album is “urgent”. The Compton rapper also stated how this album will focus on his community as well as spirituality. The rapper told the magazine how we exclude God out of a lot in today’s world.
“We’re in a time where we exclude one major component out of this whole thing called life: God. Nobody speaks on it because it’s almost in conflict with what’s going on in the world when you talk about politics and government and the system.”
