It’s immediately unclear if Marshall, 26, has decided to solely walk away from the G League or from basketball altogether. However, Marshall’s father made a recent social media post which suggests Kendall’s days as a basketball player are indeed over.
“So proud of my son. He is happy and content. Ready to start new chapters. Basketball from a playing standpoint is behind him,” Marshall’s father wrote on Twitter.
Marshall, who spent four seasons in the NBA with Phoenix, Milwaukee, Philadelphia and the Lakers, had spent the past few weeks playing in the NBA G League with the Agua Caliente Clippers. He signed a training camp deal with the Bucks in September and was waived in early October.
Marshall holds career averages of five points and 4.9 assists in 19 minutes per contest. He appeared in 160 games in the NBA and was drafted 13th by the Suns in 2012.
