While the Charlotte Hornets continue to dig themselves out of their early season struggles, it seems like a glimmer of hope will further elevate the team.
After missing 18 games, their star Kemba Walker will be returning to the team tonight as the Hornets take on the Sacramento Kings.
Kemba will be returning from his knee injury but on a minutes restriction and will be coming off the bench.
Following from Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer.
Kemba Walker will play tonight. Off the bench about 9 minutes per half.

In Kemba’s absence, the Hornets played pretty well, going 10-8 in Walker’s time off but more importantly, the team currently sits in the thick of a playoff push in the Eastern Conference.
The good news for both the Hornets and Kemba Walker is that they don’t need to rush Kemba back into playing heavy minutes due to the stellar play of recently acquired Mo Williams.
Williams has played 10 games with the Hornets. In that time, Williams has lead the team to a 6-4 record while putting up some fantastic numbers. Williams has averaged 21.4 points per game with 8.5 assists per game shooting 43.6 percent from the field and playing 35 minutes per game.
Eventually, Walker will take the reigns of the starting point guard position but for now, it’s comforting for the Hornets to know they should have no immediate issues. They have a formidable veteran in Williams who will be key coming off the bench for the team down the line and a stud in Walker who will be sure to crank up the intensity when he’s fully back to Kemba-like form.
