The Charlotte Hornets have closed the gap between them and a place in the Playoffs where they should belong. They have been carried by a Kemba Walker who’s been averaging nearly 30 Points Per Game in the past two weeks. Because of that they are 5th in PPG in the same timespan. That is mainly because of Kemba Walker.
But now, according to ESPN.com, Kemba will be out indefinitely due to a Cyst on his left knee.
It’s unclear how long Walker will be out.
Walker has averaged 29.8 points per game over the last six games and the Hornets have gone 5-1 during that stretch.
Brian Roberts will start for Walker.
With Walker out, the Hornets will be down their top two scorers. Center Al Jefferson has missed eight games because of a groin injury and is still a couple of weeks away from returning.
Kemba, for me is on the cusp of being an All-Star. You could make a case for him to be one but I think Wall, Teague and Lowry are better than Kemba.
You also have to consider the team he’s on. His stats are only greater in some areas strictly because his team are mediocre.
