The relationship between a player and their coach is very important, and Kelly Oubre Jr. and Randy Wittman seem to already be off to a good start. Oubre had nothing but positive things to say about his head coach and how he can’t wait to work with him in the future.
Following From Washington Post.
“I love him,” Oubre said. “He’s a perfectionist. He doesn’t let you get away with anything, and that’s what I need. He’s definitely a guy that I can definitely learn from and continue to get better. I look forward to my long career here and I’m definitely blessed to be a Washington Wizard.”
The pair is going to have to work well together to turn the Wizards into a team that can make it past the Eastern Conference Semifinals. That has to be the goal for next season, and if achieved, Washington will be another step closer to winning an NBA championship.
If the two are able to work together well, they could both find a home in Washington for a long time. Oubre and Wittman are both happy to be with the Wizards and are happy to work together, so this duo could be there when Washington finally wins their first championship since 1978.
