Keke Palmer vehemently pleaded with National Guard members to march with demonstrators during a protest on Tuesday afternoon. Palmer articulated that she feels members of the police force, national guard and other authorities must stand with their communities in times of turmoil.
“You have people in here that need your help. This is when y’all stand together with the community, with society, to stop the governmental oppression. Period. We need you,” she told troops.
“Buildings can be rebuilt, but once lives are taken, they’re gone.”@KekePalmer speaks out on asking National Guardsman to march with her and why it’s important to her to be on the front lines of the protests over the death of George Floyd. https://t.co/GVhFAoPK2S pic.twitter.com/q14UYjq9tN

“So then why aren’t you with us? Why aren’t you beside us? Get your people. Ya’ll march beside us. March beside us! March beside us! Let the revolution be televised,” she added.
Protests continue across the globe following the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis last month. Over the last nine days, a number of public figures such as Ariana Grande, J. Cole and Wale have been spotted demonstrating in cities across the country. Meanwhile, artists like Drake, The Weeknd and Noname have donated to bail funds for protesters.
