The NBA season is back and so is Kawhi Leonard. As the two-time NBA Finals MVP works his way back to the court, he continues to make waves off of it. This week, Leonard linked up with Eesean Bolden of Virgin Records for the latest record off his upcoming project, Culture Jam. Bolden and Leonard bring together two of New York’s brightest stars, Capella Grey and A Boogie, for an uptempo fall bop called “Bestie.” The track is backed by a visual that features both Capella Grey and A Boogie fighting for the love of basketball influencer, Naya Rose.
A Boogie and Capella Grey’s “Bestie” sets the stage for the release of Leonard’s Culture Jam on Friday, October 22. For a person that so many say speaks rather seldomly, the California native has been saying a lot behind the scenes. The NBA star has worked with Bolden to recruit NBA Youngboy, Rod Wave, A Boogie, Lil’ Uzi Vert, Polo G, Wale and several other top stars for his debut project.

Leonard’s rollout of Culture Jam will not end there. He also plans to host his first Culture Jam Sports and Music Festival next month as well. Hosted by Wayno of Amazon’s Connected, Cordae, Bluebucksclan and other special guests will deliver performances at the Shrine in Los Angeles. Adding on, the festival will feature financial literacy workshops and panels on mental health. Not to mention, there will be a celebrity basketball game featuring WNBA stars like Jewell Lloyd and Te’a Cooper as well as high school prospects Mikey Williams and Hasnel Emmanuel. G Herbo and Fivio Foreign will serve as team captains.
Tickets for the festival will go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. PT, but fans can also watch a live stream of the event on November 21 at 1 p.m.
