First things first, congratulations to Kawhi Leonard on being named Defensive Player Of The Year, again. This news of him winning was just recently announced but it appears Jordan Brand must have had some knowledge of this. I say that because just this Thursday (4/14/15), the folks at Jordan took to their official twitter handle to announce that Kawhi Leonard, the 2015-2016 DPOY, will be getting his very own Air Jordan Collection. With the likes of Westbrook being the face of the Air Jordan 30, Jimmy Butler’s stock rising and all the stellar athletes at Jordan Brand, “The Claw” is getting his time to shine at Jumpman. Looking to follow the formula used for when Jimmy Butler got his own Air Jordan Collection, Kawhi’s features; shirts, a hoodie, and a hat. On each of these items, Leonard’s “hand” logo is present as well as a picture of him with his jersey number. There is no word exactly if Kawhi will get his own Air Jordan to release but it is very likely.
