The cast of Bad Boys for Life continues to grow as Mexican actress Kate del Castillo joined, according to Deadline. Del Castillo joins Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Charles Melton, Paola Nuñez, Jacob Scipio, and DJ Khaled. Obviously, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are also returning to reprise their roles.
Bad Boys for Life will see Smith and Lawrence’s Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett work with a specialized unit in the Miami PD. Together they will try to take down Armando Armas, the head of a dangerous drug cartel. Michael Bay has stepped away from the director’s chair for this installment. Instead, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are helming the picture. Joe Carnahan, Peter Craig, and Chris Bremmer wrote the script. Smith is also producing alongside Jerry Bruckheimer and Doug Belgrad.
Del Castillo has gained popularity by starring in the Netflix drama Ingobernable and La Reina del Sur on Telemundo. She has also appeared in Under the Same Moon, Julia, and The 33.
