If you were one of those people who wondered which young big man you would pick to lead your franchise for the future and you were stuck between Minnesota Timberwolves star big man Karl-Anthony Towns and Philadelphia 76ers rookie Joel Embiid, you might have an answer after tonight.
The Timberwolves hosted the 76ers on Thursday night on TNT and they handled Philly pretty easily. But during their blowout, Towns took the destruction just one step further and put down quite possibly the best move plus dunk of his career.
He was matched up against Embiid in the fourth quarter and Towns went to work. He showcased not only his post moves but also his footwork and capped it off with a huge dunk right over Joel’s Sixers teammates.
Yea, this was insanely beautiful from the big man. You might not pick Embiid over Towns anymore after this move.
That wasn’t the only big play KAT had in the second half. He also mixed up Joel Embiid for a score before this big dunk and officially ended the Sixers with an alley-oop slam, courtesy of the Andrew Wiggins feed.
Here’s Towns’ nasty footwork.
KAT puts down the alley-oop jam.
