Kari Faux announces her very own tour. Beginning this spring, Kari Faux gears up to deliver twelve shows across the country.
Fresh off the release of her EP Cry For Help Kari Faux’s return to the music spotlight comes after a two-year hiatus. With this project, Kari Faux shares a vulnerable side to the musician who uses music and art to reclaim power. She shares her own issues with mental health, friendships, and success both singing and rapping on the five-track project.
Featuring rapper Curren$y on the song In The Air, the deeply personal music finds balance with groovy instrumentals and witty rhymes. Debuted on NPR’s First Listen, Kari Faux shares her struggles with recognizing past and present issues and translating those experiences to art.
“These past traumas were just coming up that, I guess, I hadn’t realized I hadn’t dealt with. I’ve always felt like I was never able to put my real, real life into my music, so this was kind of like a test for me to see like, ‘OK, can you write about the s*** [that] has actually happened to you?’.”
