Kareem Jackson and the Houston Texans have agreed to a new deal. The move will keep Jackson in Houston and off the open market. The contract is for 4 years, $34 million, $20 of which is fully guaranteed. Jackson shared the news on twitter.
Oh yeah Houston I’ll be back in that #25 jersey next year!!!!!

Jackson later spoke to ESPN.com following the deal.
“Knowing my future, I don’t have to sit here and worry about ‘Where are we going to end up, where are we going to have to pick up and move to?'”. “Knowing that I can be here in Houston is definitely a weight off my shoulders.”
The former product of Alabama has been with the team ever since being selected in the first round of the 2010 draft. During his five year career Jackson has 50 pass break ups and 10 interceptions. By comparison Byron Maxwell who recently signed with the Philadelphia Eagles has only 27 pass break ups in one less season. Maxwell will also be receiving upwards of $10 million dollars per season. The return of Kareem Jackson is a huge victory for the Texans. Now the team will be tasked with the Andre Johnson decision. Will the team find a trade partner?
