The Kansas Jayhawks are slowly going to lose their very balanced roster of freshmen to seniors. After a frankly dissapointing end to their NCAA Championship campaign, losing to Villanova, it’s now time to see where Junior Wayne Selden stacks up. Because even the most plugged in NCAA analyst can’t pinpoint where Selden fits.
But nevertheless, Wayne Selden is off to the NBA.
“The last three years have been a true blessing to experience as a Jayhawk, an opportunity I am so thankful for,” Selden said. “That being said, I’d like to announce that I will be declaring for the 2016 NBA draft. It has always been our plan that my college experience would be three years. I plan to hire representation in the coming weeks.
“I want to thank the Kansas fans for their support as a Jayhawk over the years. The support is unmatched and has been the driving force in games,” Selden added. “I would like to thank each of my brothers. Together we battled through the tough and celebrated the good. Giving our all for one another. I’d also like to thank Coach Self and the entire Kansas basketball staff. I’ve received three years of meaningful experiences and guidance both on and off the court.“
As I said before, it’s so hard to slot this guy in a particular part of the Draft board. He could slot into the late first round, or he can also be late 2nd, possibly undrafted. Think of him as the Harrison Twins at Kentucky, good, but you have no idea where they were going to end up.
