During the game, Berry was responsible for guarding the best tight end in football in Rob Gronkowski. At the time of his injury, Berry recorded seven tackles and one of those went for a loss of yards. Remember, Eric Berry is fresh off a new, long-term deal that includes $40 million guaranteed.
Berry is unquestionably the heart and soul of this defense. Despite beating the Patriots, Chiefs coaches and players were visibly upset at the loss of their starting safety.
