Today, we have new music from Kamaiyah and we couldn’t be happier.
If the name doesn’t ring a bell, it’s certainly going to be one you’ll be hearing all over in the months to come. Recently landing a spot on XXL’s Freshman Class of 2017 cover, that’s not the only accolade and accomplishment she has to her name. Generating most of her buzz, due to the success of her A Good Night In The Ghetto mixtape, the west coast rapper is looking to bring all the action and so much more with the release of her upcoming project, Don’t Ever Get It Twisted, slated to release this year.
Officially giving us the first taste of what to expect from the body of work, Kamaiyah premieres her new track, “Build You Up,” and the matching visual. A classic sound, most fan of old school Hip Hop and R&B will immediately recognize the sample from the track. Fierce and showcasing Kamaiyah’s signature presence, all around, “Build You Up” is a refreshing track from such a talented individual.
