Part of growing up is telling yourself the following five words: You have food at home! However, those words often fall on deaf ears when there’s a piece of Nashville hot chicken accompanied by fries and a pineapple soda staring you in the eyes. Anyway, enough of my late-night food desires. There is a new project that everyone should check out called Food At Home.
Some people, like myself, celebrate their birthdays by hanging out with friends, getting a few drinks and eating a piece of red velvet cake. However, more talented creators like Kam DeLa use their birthdays to release their first EP.
Food At Home is both relatable in its title and content. More importantly, it’s incredibly soulful and refreshing. The five-track project feels like the type of music you’d put on during that long drive home after a great night out as you glide down the highway. What makes the effort more impressive is that it is entirely written, produced and arranged by the rising artist.
To be honest, it’s hard to understand why more music fans aren’t lining up to buy tickets to see him in concert and or rocking merchandise he’s designed. I guess those things come in due time. For now, check out Food At Home by Kam DeLa…and happy birthday, Kam DeLa!
