Looks like Kaka has made quite the impression on Brazil national team coach Dunga. The former AC Milan star and current Orlando City — of the MLS — midfielder has been brought on to be an alternate for the Seleção’s run in Copa America.
Dunga already named his 23-man squad last week, but had to turn in 30 names to the South American soccer confederation by Monday.
The six added players are: goalkeeper Neto (Fiorentina), defender Gil (Corinthians), midfielder Felipe Anderson (Lazio), midfielder Fred (Shakhtar Donetsk), midfielder Rafael Alcantara (Barcelona), and striker Leandro Damiao (Cruzeiro).
The tournament starts in month in Chile. One notable omission is Oscar (Chelsea) who has a muscle injury.
Brazil’s first opponent is Peru on June 14th.
