K Camp came on to scene with his hits “Money Baby” and “Cut Her Off”. Over the course of his career, he’s managed to connect on just about every level, but his success is rarely recognized. If we’re talking stats, there few who have had the success of K Camp. In his career thus far, K Camp has dropped two platinum singles, earned two gold plaques and released a top five album. Unfortunately, his success has been stifled recently because of tension between him and his label, Interscope.
This summer, K Camp alluded to issues with his contract with an unspecified person or organization. In a video released on Twitter, K Camp said, “[It’s been a] blessed day for me. Everybody wants to know where K Camp [has] been. [People are saying] K Camp fell off. [People are saying] K Camp this and K Camp that. It’s because I was stuck in a two-year contract and today, is the day that I’m out.” He then went on to pop champagne and celebrate.
This Friday, K Camp fans can celebrate and pop champagne of their own. The Atlanta based artist has dropped his newest project, Rare Sound: The Album. The sixteen track project comes in at just under an hour with features from Wiz Khalifa, True Story Gee, Lil’ Durk, Genius and more.
