The Denver Nuggets just love to have players that are injured. Has Danilo Gallinari actually had a full season with them since leaving New York? Seriously every time I watch a Denver Nuggets broadcast they’re always talking about an injury to a player and do you know what’s sad? They would be a decent team if their players could stay healthy, but that’s not the case and they stay being a lottery team once again.
Another player on their long list of players dealing with their body is Jusuf Nurkic, the Denver Post reports that Nurkic has had successful knee surgery and will be out for approximately 3-4 months.
If all goes well, that would put him back to being able to have some sort of basketball activity around September. Training camp usually opens at the end of September.
The surgery is a big blow for a player who hoped to use this summer to focus on improving his basketball skills and reshaping his body to better endure the long NBA season.
“I’m still a young guy, so I will work hard, and I can’t wait until next season,” Nurkic said after the Nuggets’ final regular season game.
Nurkic played through knee pain in the second half of the season and also sustained an ankle sprain.
He played through knee pain and ankle sprains?! I could not be a fan of this team, is it the altitude? Why are all Denver Nuggets players excluding Kenneth Faried getting injured? Can somebody do some research on this, because this is getting silly.
