The Atlanta Hawks are doing well considering they’re still mixing their team up as if we are still in preseason. But hey, they’re winning games, imagine if they had their positions on lock.
The reason for their constant changes is because of Thabo Sefolosha, who’s been consistent as always, but is not ready for back-to-back play yet, which gives people like Lamar Patterson and Justin Holiday their time to shine and Holiday is trying to make the most of it.
“He’s gotten a couple of opportunities and taken advantage of those opportunities,” Budenholzer said of Holiday. “We went with him tonight without Kyle (Korver) suiting up. He got more minutes and more opportunities.
“I think it’s his defense, his activity and his length. He’s making some shots and making some plays. We’ve got a good group there with wings all fighting for opportunity. Tonight, Justin got his and took advantage of it.”
I was particularly intrigued by the fact that Tim Hardaway Jr is struggling to get minutes, I thought he’d lock it down but apparently I was wrong. The Hawks are chugging along, seems that the loss of DeMarre Carroll hasn’t posed much of a problem.
