For College Rivalry Day at Wednesday’s Washington Nationals home game, former Virginia guard Justin Anderson will be throwing the first pitch to former Virginia baseball player Ryan Zimmerman. Anderson is attempting to get ready for the big moment, and reached out to John Wall to try to get some tips.
For those who don’t remember, John Wall threw out the ceremonial first pitch at a Nationals game back in 2011, and was unable to reach the plate with his pitch before the ball took a bounce to the ground. Wall’s pitch may be one of the worst ever thrown, and hopefully, Anderson won’t embarrass himself as much as the Wizards point guard did.
Aye big bro @JohnWall any tips on throwing the first pitch at the #Nats game tonight? Mine might be worse! ????

@JusAnderson1 lol yea just do better than me ???????? — John Wall (@JohnWall) June 24, 2015
Anderson is asking the wrong person for advice in this case, but it could work out for him. Anything better than the pitch thrown out by Wall should be considered a huge success. Anything worse should make Anderson apologize to both Virginia and the Nationals for giving them a bad rep. Good luck, Justin.
