‘Jurassic World’ will be set 22 years after the original.
Director Colin Trevorrow announced on his Twitter that the movie would not be a reboot.
“Reboot is a strong word,’ said Trevorrow. “This is a new sci-fi terror adventure set 22 years after the horrific events of Jurassic Park.”
‘The Help’ actress Bryce Dallas Howard has already been cast, along with ‘Melissa and Joey’ star Nick Robinson and Ty Simpkins from ‘Insidious’.
Chris Pratt is rumored to be in talks to play the male lead.
‘Jurassic World’ will hit theaters on July 12, 2015.
