Juice WRLD announces he and Young Thug hit the studio working on a joint album.
Although still a newcomer, Juice WRLD already has a collaborative album with Future under his belt. In 2018, Juice WRLD and Future released WRLD On Drugs featuring Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Young Thug and more. It appears the Juice WRLD and Young Thug link-up created much more.
In an interview with GQ‘s Cam Wolf, Juice WRLD shares he and Thugger have 10 songs completed for their joint project. Although a majority of the work is done, Juice WRLD shares he’s unaware of a release date.
“It’s going to happen,” he says, “Just whenever we put it out, I don’t know.”
Juice WRLD also shares he believes Billboard did lean into racist tactics when removing Lil Nas X from their country charts. A genre-bender himself, his understanding is that often times, minorities are viewed as lesser than their white peers.
“I know it burns some people inside to even see a black face next to their favorite artists. Or next to them, if they are the artists.”
The interview also discusses potentially working with Pharell, Juice WRLD’s musical inspirations and what goes down in the Chicago artist’s DMs. Read the full profile here.
