As the ‘deflategate’ scandal was nearing a nine month anniversary, a decision on Tom Brady’s future for the 2015 season was nearing. The judge presiding over the second part of Brady’s case against the NFL has finally made a decision.
Brady was facing a four game suspension from the NFL for his part in the scandal and he fought the case to try and avoid any sort of suspension. Neither side would budge and reach a settlement so instead, the judge presiding over the case made a decision for them.

There was some fear that no settlement or decision would be made and eventually this case would have to go to another court where a decision possibly wouldn’t be made until late November or early December. It would push Brady’s suspension back into the middle of the season causing him to eventually miss some games but closer to playoff time.
New England Patriots fans everywhere – and those who selected Tom Brady late in their fantasy football drafts – rejoiced as Brady’s suspension was lifted. On the flipside, fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars and Dallas Cowboys were let down that this decision came across.
The road to the Patriots repeating as Super Bowl champions for the first time in their franchise history begins now as they will have their starting quarterback under center for the first snap in the 2015 season.
