Wow. Matt Barnes yesterday now JR Smith… What’s going on?!
According to several sources JR Smith has been fined for “Hostile & Inappropriate language” to another player on Twitter.
In Lehman’s terms JR has been fined 25K for Twitter Beef…
The player threatened was Brandon Jennings who poked fun at JR’s little brother. Safe to say Smith didn’t take it lightly and threatened to get “his homies” on Jennings.
I don’t know what the big deal is I’ve heard that before… Neither did JR. Here’s what he said before the fine…
Threaten? No. There’s a way to threaten somebody, and that’s not the way to publicly threaten somebody…It’s not that serious. I go to L.A. in the summertime and see him all the time … I don’t know how it got this blow out of proportion.
I was definitely frustrated because you get tired of people trying to pick on your little brother, so it’s my little brother, I’m going to step up for him, good bad or ugly. So it’s not just to Brandon. It’s to anybody who says anything about him.
I get JR’s motive but as always he pushes the envelope and ended up getting fined. Ah well.
Besides. That’s pocket change for him…
