Well we knew going in this game would be a good one. Miami-Knicks has been a good game for a few years now.
This was a great game and for many reasons. Where shall we start?
Lets start with the headline we usually see. LeBron goes for 38 points and 6 assists. He had a bad start to the game with 4 very early turnovers. But after the first, he locked in and thoroughly took care of the game. He also shut down Melo, only 13 points for Anthony.
Now for the headline we rarely see. JR Smith has a 3 point rampage. 32 points. 10 three pointers, a Knicks record.
10-22 from 3, that’s an NBA record for 3PT attempts!
24 three pointers in a three game stretch. That’s another NBA record beating Curry’s monster April from last season.
The guy just kept shooting, and some actually went in! We all love a good 3 point performance and that was Curry-esque.
But unfortunately with that loss, time for New York is running out. Atlanta now have the leverage in the race for 8th and can let go a game, the Knicks on the other hand must be perfect from now on.
