The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be without offensive lineman Josh Wells for the rest of the season due to a torn Patellar Tendon. Injuries have decimated the Tampa Bay offensive line this season and have contributed to how poorly they’ve played this season. Wells suffered the Injury in the team’s 19-16 overtime win against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 16. He was already filling in for starting lineman Donovan Smith who missed the game due to an injury of his own. This is the third offensive lineman that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have lost for the season.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have to shuffle their offensive linemen once again with the injury of Josh Wells. While depth has been a serious issue now it becomes a dire situation for the team as they look to squeeze into the 2022-23 NFL Playoffs. The team may have to look at a thin free agency pool just to find some depth to close the season. Tampa Bay currently sits in first place in the NFC South with a 7-8 record with the Carolina Panthers one game behind them at 6-9. The two teams play each other on Sunday at one p.m. EST in week 17.
