Head Coach Chris Jans and the Mississippi State Bulldogs have landed the commitment of 2023 top 90 recruit and top 15 point guard Josh Hubbard. He was originally committed to the Ole Miss Rebels but reopened his commitment after the program fired Head Coach Kermit Davis. Hubbard is the top player in the state of Mississippi in the 2023 class and should provide a day-one impact on the program. Flipping a commit from the team’s in-state SEC rival is a massive pickup for the program. Hubbard should be a three or four-year player that greatly impacts the program.

During his senior season of high school, Josh Hubbard broke the Mississippi career scoring record. College scouts have highlighted him as a two-way guard prospect that can impact a team as a freshman. With the SEC only getting better, adding a player like Hubbard is a massive addition for the Mississippi State Bulldogs. He is now the top signing in the 2023 class for the Bulldogs.
Joining Josh Hubbard in the 2023 class at Mississippi State are three-star prospects Gal Chol, Adrain Myers, and Jaquan Scott as well as unranked prospect Lerenzo Fort III. Scott is the top JUCO prospect in the 2023 class. Chris Jans is attempting to build long-term success for the program.
