Players who retire early usually live to regret it, and by the time they figure out that they want to play again, it’s usually too late. We’ve seen it happen time and time again. Nothing has changed this offseason either as guard Baron Davis is looking for a second chance in the NBA and now so is forward Josh Howard. Following from Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports:
Ex-NBA All-Star Josh Howard, who is healthy now and has been working out at Impact in Las Vegas, is seeking a NBA training camp invitation.

Josh Howard was a talented player during his prime, majority of which he spent with the Dallas Mavericks. He also endured stints with the Washington Wizards, Utah Jazz, and the Minnesota Timberwolves. Though Howard wasn’t an elite player, he was a very solid starting small forward for the majority of his career. The wing only played nine years as his career was cut short by injury issues and off the court troubles with marijuana. The swingman would most likely be ineffective in today’s game as a lot of his success was based off his jumping ability instead of ageless skill. Howard could get a couple of looks from championship contenders that lack a veteran presence in the locker room, but other than that his choices could be limited.
