This week, the music world acknowledge the two year anniversary of Jorja Smith’s debut album, Lost & Found. Smith topped the R&B charts in the U.K. with her latest project and went on to win a Brit Award along with earning a Grammy nod. This year, Smith appears to be gearing up for the release of a new project. With the success of “Be Honest” with Burna Boy last summer, the R&B artist is testing the waters this summer with the release of “Rose Rouge.”
“Love, you gon’ need to play some more/You know there is a sinner?of?love/Help me break?my heart,” Smith sings.
Smith’s latest effort plays off of St Germain’s single from 2000. Given the smooth, jazzy beat, Smith finds herself at home as the instrumentation adds to her vocals. Check out the full record above and be on the look out for more new music from Smith this year.
