Hill will join the Wolves after spending last season with the Indiana Pacers. He is the Wolves’ second signed center this offseason, with Cole Aldrich also looking to join the team.
The Wolves now have a bit of a logjam at the two frontcourt positions. Hill joins the aforementioned Aldrich, as well as Karl-Anthony Towns, Gorgui Dieng, and Kevin Garnett.
Hill’s best attribute is as a rebounder, having averaged 11.2 of them per 36 minutes for his career. The eighth-year pro also brings a midrange jumper to the team.
Jordan Hill has career averages of 8.0 points and 5.9 rebounds per game, while shooting 49.7% from the field.
Hill will not be expected to play much for the young Wolves. However, when necessary, he can bring in an extra jolt of energy off the bench. The Wolves are looking to make a leap this season and Hill could play a small but important role in that.
