Los Angeles Lakers big man, Jordan Hill, did not practice with the team today due to a upper respiratory infection. The Lakers are off until Friday, so Hill should be available by then. He’s been able to stay healthy this season while his minutes have increased dramatically to 30.1 minutes per game from last years 20.8. He has averaged 12.8 points, 8.6 rebounds in 25 games this season.
The (8-17) Lakers face the (12-13) Oklahoma City Thunder who have been on fire lately winning 9 out of their last 10 games including a 7 game winning streak which is still intact. The Thunder are looking to continue their winning ways Friday night and try to climb into the playoff picture, just .5 games behind the New Orleans Pelicans after a disastrous start to the season without Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant.
The Lakers are in need of some urgent help losing their last game to the Indiana Pacers 110-91. The Pacer lead at halftime, 62-27 holding the Lakers to just 16.3% from the field, making it the Lakers largest deficit in 54 years. The Lakers will need to try and get the ball out of the best duo in the league, in Westbrook/Durant if they look to stop the surging Thunder.
Check out the LA Lakers take on the Oklahoma City Thunder at 10:30 on ESPN on Friday. Yes, the Lakers are still on ESPN…
