Former Lakers’ center Jordan Hill, who was recently signed by the Indiana Pacers, was arrested for reckless driving.
From the official statement by Larry Bird:
“We have been informed Jordan was arrested for allegedly reckless driving in Atlanta, Georgia. It is obvious we don’t condone this. We will address this with Jordan. This is a major concern of safety, not just for Jordan, but for others.”
Footage of Hill driving 107 miles per hour was shared on Twitter by Mike Petchenik of WSB-TV:

Hopefully this was a one-time thing. The Pacers really need Jordan Hill, given the losses of both starting frontcourt members Roy Hibbert and David West.
The Pacers were willing to let Hibbert and West leave because they want to go small this season. They signed Monta Ellis, and hope to play Paul George at the 4. That being said, they still need big men. Small-ball is the direction that the league is going in, but not so small that you have no big men. Jordan Hill should start at the 5 for Indiana, and he will be crucial to their success.
So, for Indiana’s sake, I hope that Hill gets off with a fine and isn’t suspended or facing jail time.
