But before we get into that, something that was not expected, announced by David Schechter, Jordan Brand VP of Footwear has revealed that for now and the “foreseeable future” there will not be anymore Air Jordan III retro releases. The Brand feels they have worn the III out and it will be taking a trip to the vault, but when it does come back, it’ll be remastered. What are your thoughts on that?

Now back to the regularly scheduled program, 2015, the year of the remastered. Starting spring 2015, every retro will receive the remastered treatment — yes, the ‘Bulls Over Broadway‘ and ‘Lady Liberty‘ X’s will be remastered, but not every retro from January to April will be lucky to join in on this fun.

If you’re wondering what ‘remastered’ means, Jordan Brand is making every sneaker from a single piece of quality leather. They have also been reviewing the original models made by Tinker so they can get back to the old molds. JB also reveal that these remastered models are being made to stand the test of time.

Just like the bad news of the Air Jordan III, Jordan Brand has also announced that they will not be retroing or remastering any Jordan above the XIV. Yes, that means no Cherrywood XVI’s, no Lighting XVII’s or any XX’s!! Jordan Brand JB feels that the fans weren’t too fond of the XV & up Air Jordan’s, but hopefully one day they do realize that there’s a few that do cherish them.

Ok, now, as if you weren’t already excited for the remastering, here’s the ‘good’ part. With better quality shoes comes a price increase. Jordan Brand has revealed that all remastered products will see a 15%-20% increase. Get ready to pay close to $200 & above for most of these.

Of the few remastered retros that are already announced, what do you think should be remastered? Bred and Royal I’s are sure to be on the remastered list since 2015 marks their 30th, so aside from those, what? I personally think a few XVI’s, Lighting IV’s & XVII’s, Bred IV’s, Last Shot XIV’s, Cherry & Flu Game XII’s, the list can go on and on so let us know some of your favorites.
