This trailer is truly mind-bending. MANIAC tells the stories of Annie Landsberg (Emma Stone) and Owen Milgrim (Jonah Hill), two strangers drawn to the late stages of a mysterious pharmaceutical trial. Things do not go as planned. Actually, they go even worse than planned.
Imagine going to a clinical trial for a drug and being tested and experimented on, then shortly after that, you enter multiple reality universes where you can’t escape. Yeah, sounds horrifying.
This should make for a great mini-series with an excellent cast and is set to arrive on the streaming service on September 21st. Jonah Hill & Emma Stone will star in the limited TV series which will be the first time either of them will be in a Netflix original.
