Japanese singer-songwriter Joji has returned from a two-year layoff to deliver an 18 track project called Nectar.
The latest project from Joji was definitely a labor of love. Nectar was set to be released in July 10, but it was pushed back two months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While waiting to release the project, he kept his fans satisfied with “Run,” “Gimme Love” and “Sanctuary.”
“Run” has emerged as an early standout from the project. Complete with production from Joji and Justin Miller, the song is a passionate rock ballad that allows the 88Rising artist to showcase his pain in a heartfelt manner.
Along the 18-track journey, he also links up with a number of notable figures. Diplo, Lil’ Yachty, Omar Apollo, Yves Tumor and Benee.
Nectar serves as a worthy follow-up to his 2018 project, Ballads 1. Check out the full project below.
