When Wall got his max contract extension last year everyone was calling for him to raise the bar and he did that and more nearly taking his team to the Eastern Conference Finals.
With that breakthrough season been and gone it’s time for the Wizards to build on that success.
According to the Washington Post, Wall has just one goal for the upcoming season. Make the Finals.
The Finals. All you can ask for now is the Finals.
We’ve been to the second round. We know what it takes to win. We know what we need to do. We know everybody needs to get better individually, and I think [the front office] just did a great job of adding pieces, great veteran guys that know what it takes to win.
Why not reach for the stars! I like the confidence Wall has in his squad. He’s part of a great backcourt along with Bradley Beal, they now have Paul Pierce who has been through it all, including winning the championship. I’m not saying they’ll make it there. But with dedication and some luck. They can make bigger waves in the Playoffs than they did last season.
