John Wall and the Washington Wizards had a valiant effort in the NBA Playoffs, before losing to the Atlanta Hawks in 6 games in the second round. Wall was part of the system that dismantled the Atlantic Division Toronto Raptors in the first round with a sweep. They even won Game 1 with Wall leading the way, but Wall hurt his hand in game 1 and it was later announced he had 5 fractures in his hand, which resulted in his missing 2 games.
Now, Wall is telling people the injury isn’t as bad as it seems. According to CSN Washington:
“I’m going to go to Cleveland (Clinic) to see a specialist but I’m still doing the normal treatment routine I was doing like I was playing … letting the bones heal on its own,” said Wall, who fell in the second quarter of Game 1 and had five non-displaced fractures in the hand and wrist.
John Wall and the Wizards showed some resilience this year, and fought through adversity & didn’t give up, something they did last year in the Playoffs. With a healthier Bradley Beal, and hopefully a healthy John Wall, next season and this off season is big for the Wizards. Is it too early to want Kevin Durant?
