Let’s get something straight. Just because John Wall was cut from the USA World Cup team and Kyrie Irving was not. Does NOT mean that Kyrie is better than John Wall. I don’t see why Wall isn’t put in people’s conversations. We talk a lot about Kyrie, Lillard, Curry, Rose and other great PG’s in this league. But sometimes John Wall gets left out of the conversation. He realises this as SLAMonline documents.
“I’m one of the most complete point guards in the league,” Wall, 24, said Tuesday after the Washington Wizards concluded their first training camp practice. “I rebound, I assist, play defense, steal, score. I don’t get why I’m overlooked. I’m still trying to figure it out.”
“I always could play defense,” Wall said. “I think anybody in this world could play defense, but do you commit yourself to it? That’s one thing. I want to be known as a two-way player. So I committed myself to that.”
When he got his max contract extension. People questioned the Wizards, scratching their heads as to why he got the max. What did he do? He nearly took them to the Eastern Conference Finals.
John Wall is legit. Put him in your conversations and I guarantee that you will slap yourself as to why you thought he wasn’t worthy.
