The second-round playoff series between the Washington Wizards and Boston Celtics has been a contentious affair, stemming from altercations in the regular season. So, it was not much of a surprise when the Celtics players showed up to game six wearing all black, symbolic of the Wizards’ “funeral” in a close-out game on the road.
But if you’re going to do something so brash, you better deliver and the Celtics did not.
After a back-and-forth affair between two equally-matched opponents, the game came down to a huge in-your-face game-winning three from John Wall. The Wizards’ point guard did not hold back on that shot and he did not hold back in the post-game interview:

“I ain’t going home,” Wall said to ESPN’s Lisa Salters. “Don’t come to my city, wearing all black, talking bout it’s a funeral. We work too hard for this.”
Now that’s what the NBA playoffs are all about. One team flexing its muscles after a blowout win and the other one staving off elimination by the skin of their teeth after feeling disrespected.
John Wall put on a show on the court and then finished it off with more killer trash-talk off of it.
