Milwaukee Bucks young big man John Henson just signed a nice extension with the team over the summer. Henson and the Bucks agreed to a four-year extension worth over $44 million. In his career to date, he’s made over $10 million on his contracts alone and he’s been the sponsor for some local Milwaukee businesses.
Henson has some money to spend, so earlier today when he decided to go purchase a new watch at a local Milwaukee jewelry store, it should’ve been easy for him to stroll on in and buy whatever he wanted.
Instead, Henson says he was the victim of discrimination.
John Henson posted the following on his instagram account.
Henson’s claim against this store is just a ridiculous thing for someone to have to deal with in 2015. It’s been decades since minorities had to deal with discrimination to this degree from a business, so for it to resurface involving a person in the public eye, in his own town that he plays in, makes it even worse.
Since the story broke, the Schwanke-Kasten jewelry store twitter account has gone private and there has been no comment yet on the issue.
It’s 2015. Seriously, this stuff needs to end.
